Just So Stories ~ Rudyard Kipling

I recently read this collection of twelve short stories to my children. It was originally published in 1902 and I read a copy that included his original drawings and references. My children and I enjoyed this book very much. It is a creative look at the formation of certain characteristics in the animal kingdom, e.g. "How the Camel Got His Humps." Most people are familiar with the story "The Elephant's Child" and the story "How the Leopard Got His Spots." These stories have a quality of creativity and silliness that makes them particularly fun for kids. I appreciated the level of vocabulary and that my kids could follow easily what was going on. (My children are ages 4 and 6.)
